Creative Meeting Design
When it is time to plan a large meeting, where do you start? At Templeton-Near Consulting, we start by helping the client identify all the important outcomes -- tangible and intangible, explicit and implicit. We interview the participants to find out what they want from the time they spend in the meeting, and make sure there is alignment with what the client sponsor wants. And once we are clear on ALL the desired outcomes, we use all the tools from our years of experience to design a meeting that gets those results, and does it in an engaging, energetic, memorable, and yes, usually FUN, way.
Experienced Facilitation and Knowledge Capture
Face-to-face meetings are often painful for the participants -- speakers droning, little new infomation communicated, little engagement in working together to achieve results. On the other hand, effective meeting facilitation is like magic -- suddenly everyone is actively involved, they are energized, they know how and when to contribute their important ideas and suggestions to get to something of value for the whole group. And when their collective knowledge is captured real-time and is available for everyone to build on throughout the meeting, the productivity increases dramatically. And it is clear at the end of the meeting exactly what decisions were made and why, and who owns each of the next steps.
Graphic Recording
A picture really can be worth a thousand words. When people are able to see how their ideas relate to each other, or really visualize what the organization can be like in the future, alignment happens much more quickly, and results come together faster and with greater engagement.
